The Divisions
Four commands, one doctrine. Every operator holds a primary division, trains through its academy, and fights inside its structure. Handbook v4.0 — condensed for the public record.
Tempest Navy
// "There are no idle hands aboard a Tempest ship."
The heavy fleet combat arm. Tempest operates capital ships, multi-crew vessels, and heavy strike craft — delivering capital firepower, running dropship insertions, and crewing the ships that carry the marines and logistics into battle. Professional and licensed: every pilot specialises, every crewman has a station.
Structure
- Support Auxiliary — entry tier: turrets, tractors, interdiction, torpedo work
- Gunship track — Connie / Corsair / Redeemer
- Heavy Fighter track — Vanguard / F8C / Hurricane
- Capital track — Idris / Polaris
- Crews identified by hull, not callsign — Polaris Alpha, Redeemer Bravo
Pilot Licenses
Licenses are earned, not granted: complete the track's 101, demonstrate competence on the supported hulls, contribute to fleet missions.
- Gunship License
- Heavy Fighter License
- Capital License — pledged capital plus confirmed kills versus capitals
Training Pipeline
- Support 101 — crew fundamentals
- Gunship / Heavy Fighters / Capital 101
- NAVCOM 201 — capital command doctrine
Typhoon Air Wing
// "Swift as the gale, precise as the blade." — Typhoon Actual on command nets
The tactical fighter group. Typhoon pilots are precision weapons — trained rigorously in PvP dueling, squadron battles, and air dominance. Interception, dogfighting, and close air support, flown in permanent pairs.
Structure
- Eight permanent wing-pairs — two pilots per pair
- Named wings: Apex · Viper · Nova
- Up to four fireteams per wing — Apex-1-1, Viper-2-3
- Pair roles: Engaged Fighter / Support Fighter
Captain Distinctions
Senior pilots at S2 carry a specialisation distinction:
- Tempest — interceptor mastery
- Sentinel — medium fighter
- Warhawk — light fighter
- Ghostblade — stealth specialisation
The RAPTOR Program
- Raptor 101 — fighter fundamentals and aim
- Raptor 102 — comms brevity and teamwork
- Raptor 103 — advanced maneuvers
- Raptor 201 — advanced team flight ops
- Raptor 203 — "Victory in 30 Seconds" ACM doctrine
Storm Marines
// The blade of Nightfall on the ground.
Elite infantry and ground combat. Marines execute boarding actions, reconnaissance, demolitions, CQB, and open-field warfare with precision — from ship corridors to planetary fields, the fight goes wherever the fleet needs it.
Structure
- Eight standing buddy-pairs
- Named squads: Wind · Iron · Ghost
- Up to four fireteams per squad — Wind-1-1, Iron-2-3
- Reserved officer ranks activate as the corps grows
Combat Roles
- Recon and infiltration
- Ship boarding
- Urban warfare
- Demolitions and sabotage
- EVA combat
- Sniper support
BCT Pipeline
- BCT 101 — FPS basics, Star Marine
- BCT 102 — open-field warfare
- BCT 103 — CQB theory
- BCT 103 Practical — live ship & station sims
- BCT 201 — advanced CQB and urban warfare
Helix Corps
// Every op begins and ends with Helix. Sufficiency · quality · velocity.
The logistics division exists to make every other division more effective: where Tempest projects power, Typhoon controls airspace, and the Marines take ground, Helix keeps them fed, fuelled, armed, and equipped — at scale, on schedule, and at quality. Volume Supply Doctrine, delivered through standing supply lines and contracted deliveries.
The Seven Pillars
- Acquisition — mining at the rock face
- Processing — refining to traceable quality
- Movement — volume across systems
- Recovery — salvage, downed assets and crews
- Crafting — blueprints and fabrication
- Fortification — base building (forward)
- Sustainment — fleet support and trading
Service Models
Helix operates on Volume Supply Doctrine through two contract types:
- SVL — Standing Volume Line: sustained continuous supply
- SLA — Service-Level Agreement: quantity, quality floor, deadline
Identified by pillar and duty: Movement-Loadmaster-1, Recovery-Salvager-2. Corps commander is Helix Actual.
Training & Certs
- Helix 101 — loadmaster & logistics basics
- Helix 201 — advanced mining, salvage, crafting, trade
- Pillar certifications — BLI · LSS-C · LTO-C · CE-C · RSE-C · SLA-C · VSD-M
Nightfall Strike Carrier Group
Modelled after real-world carrier strike groups and structured around our central capitals — the Polaris and the Idris — supported by specialised wings of fighters, marines, logistics, and crew. The Strike Carrier Group fights as a cohesive combined-arms force, never as scattered individuals. Membership pulls from all four divisions and is earned, not applied for: candidates are evaluated on activity, training progression, and alignment with our values. Being a member of the org is the start — induction is earned.
